United States National Botanical Garden
Construction began on the National Botanical Garden on October 17, 2001 and the garden first opened to the public on October 1, 2006. Features of the garden include the Rose Garden, the Butterfly Garden, the Lawn Terrace, the First Ladies Water Garden, the Regional Garden, and an outdoor amphitheater. United States National Arboretum
446 acre garden with 9.5 miles of winding roadways that was established in 1927 by the United States Congress.
